Fabricated Solutions

Waffle Slab Pop Outs

To meet the Semiconductor Industry’s needs for an economical and efficient Safety Cover Pop Out for waffle slab conditions, FH Chase designed a cast in place sleave with a raised ring solution. The cast in place unit has a flush cover which is level with the concrete slab. The raised rings are place as the access flooring is installed. The Pop Outs are economical and efficient when considering constructability, schedule and safety.

Waffle Slab Inserts – Macom

FH Chase was challenged to provide 30” x 30” Waffle Inserts both Solid and Perforated. The inserts had to be structural to allow Tool Move In (Dynamic) Loads, as well as Static Loads for Tools that were placed on many of the Inserts. With our extensive experience with Raised Access Flooring, we designed, tested and fabricated over 650 units for the cleanroom fab.

Plenum Cap

Designers and Cleanroom Contractors are always being asked to address the top of the interstitial space. The need to clean up the area to protect the Supply and Recirculated air from contaminants such as Spray-on Fire Proofing, Existing services passing through the area and even rusty corrugated decks is efficiently done with our Plenum Cap solution. The design allows for the support of the ceiling system which is loaded with ULPA Filters and Lights. The majority of cleanroom ceiling systems are hung from Threaded Rod on a consistent module.
